disabling pop-up blocker from expansion pack

can anyone help with a pop-up blocker that wont disable
no matter what i try!! Short of removing the XP Service
Pack 2 i am at a loss as i want to use a site that uses
pop ups to convey information that i want!

thanks for that, i did try to add the site to my list

but the blocker still cheerfully informs me that 'pop-up
has been blocked'!! Any more suggestions would be very
welcome
