I have an early version of IE 5 running on a P-3 under Win 98 SE. When I
attempted to install my new HP 7000 series flatbed scanner (supposed to work
with 98 SE) I'm told that I need a later version of IE 5, or better yet IE
6.0.0.0. Will IE 6 run under 98 SE, if so where can I get it (I'll have to
download to the library (USB stick) and carry it home). Else, where do I get
the later version of IE 5 (same constraints).

Yes, IE6 will run on Win98 SE (Get IE6 SP1)
Get it from Windows Update or Internet Explorer Home Page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

Old IE versions.
